Virtual Space & Duties

The work is entirely remote and very independent due to the 12-hour time difference between the organization in Philly and me in China. Every Thursday, we’d have a zoom meeting to catch up on last week’s work, and for the rest of the time, we communicate with each other through emails.

I was in the English Language Learner Support & Training department, and my job was to help develop online workshops for adult immigrants & English language learners. The workshops will focus on job-related themes, such as identifying skills, developing tools such as resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, and understanding the culture and norms of job searching and the workplace in the U.S.
